1.2   conduct myself in a way which respects diversity and promotes equal opportunities
1.3   endeavour to provide the best possible service and in such a way as to avoid causing harm to the client to others and to the environment.
2.2   ensure that my capability is sufficient to enable me to operate according to this Code of Ethics
2.3   develop my level of competence by participating in relevant training and appropriate Continuing Professional Development activities
2.4   enveavour to maintain a relationship with a suitably-qualified supervisor, to regularly assess my competence and support my development, who will be bound by the requirements of confidentiality referred to in this Code or such other relevant professional code of conduct by which they are already bound.
3.2   ensure that the expectations of my clients are understood and that they themselves understand how their expectations relate to phoenix change development coaching
3.3   seek to create an environment in which all concerned are focused on and have the opportunity for learning and development.
4.2   be aware of the potential for conflicts of interest of either a commercial or an emotional nature to arise through phoenix change development coaching and endeavour to deal with them quickly, effectively and to minimise any detriment to anyone concerned.
5.2   disclose information only where explicitly agreed with the client, unless there is convincing evidence to believe serious danger to the client or others will occur if that information is withheld.
5.3   act within applicable law and not encourage, assist or collude with others engaged in any conduct which is dishonest, unlawful, unprofessional or discriminatory.
6.2   ensure that the duration of phoenix change development coaching is defined by the needs of the client, and not to exploit the client in any manner.
6.3   maintain the professional responsibilities described in this Code beyond the termination of any contract, including:
» maintaining the agreed confidentiality of all information relating to the client
» avoiding any exploitation of the relationship
» providing any follow-on services that have been agreed
» safely and securely maintaining all related records and data
6.4   demonstrate a respect as appropriate to other professionals and an understanding of the variety of different approaches to coaching.
6.5   never claim the origination of the work and views of others as my own.
6.6   ensure that any claim of professional competence, qualifications or accreditation may be clearly and accurately explained to potential clients and that no deliberately false or misleading claims are made or implied in any published material.
